These pages are often available at a reasonable price and are traditionally bought by your parents as a gift. When you wish to buy a custom collage from us for inclusion in your Yearbook Ads page, be sure to get the following important information from your Yearbook Committee (keywords in bold):
- The dimensions of the Yearbook Ads page and the preferred width of the margin. Also, if bleeds are required or allowed (1/8-1/4” are typical). If no margin is specified, a 1/2” will be included on each side to account for the binding.*
- The acceptable DPI of the finished digital file (300 is usually standard).
- The preferred colorspace of the digital file (CMYK or RGB).
- The preferred file type of the collage (JPEG, PDF, or other).
*A "margin" in a photo collage is where care is taken not to put important features (namely the subject's face) closer to the edge than the width of the margin. The rest of the photo will go to the edge of the page. You will not have a blank strip of white on each side of your collage.
When you order your Ads Page picture collage, we will create a unique page using the Yearbook's requirements that you will be able to cherish for years to come. We will gladly include names, poems, special letters from Mom & Dad, and other memories in your collage. A proof of the collage is always sent to the customer for approval before the collage is completed. If the finished Ads page collage is larger than 8 x 10, you will receive a digital file only; otherwise let us know if you wish a printed collage with your order as it will be printed in the Yearbook.
